Abstract Background and Objective: Using nursing theory to improve the quality of structured nursing care due cares nursing cares costs and ultimately improve the quality of life of patient. Although many small studies using Orem self care model in various diseases, but these studies cannot find the depth and complexity of perceptions and opinions about the people their care. the aim study was identify models of care make efficient use of interventions in care and a wide view in addition to nursing education offers. Material and Methods: Using nursing theory to improve the quality of structured nursing care due cares nursing cares costs and ultimately improve the quality of life of patient. Although many small studies using Orem self care model in various diseases, but these studies cannot find the depth and complexity of perceptions and opinions about the people their care. the aim study was identify models of care make efficient use of interventions in care and a wide view in addition to nursing education offers. Results: Participants in this study the factors affect the use of self care model in the six themes, including "factors related to model," "physical factors", "social factors", "psychological factors", " educational factors"and "factors related to caring system " expressed Conclusion: Positive and negative experiences in applying the model represents the role of self care model is utilization. Barriers cause the lack of care or their application is incomplete. More familiar with their model of care nurses on their performance in the role of professional nursing in order to improve the present situation is recommended.
