en آموزش پزشکی Medical Education پژوهشي اصیل Orginal Research <span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;"><span style="line-height:2;"><b>Background & Objective: </b>The aim of this study was to assess the validity of the Persian version of the Academic Major Satisfaction Scale (P-AMSS) among Iranian Nursing Students.<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"></span><br> <b>Material & Methods:</b> A cross-sectional study was carried out from January to March 2023. A total of 231 undergraduate nursing students completed demographic information and the P-AMSS. The data were analyzed using exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"></span><br> <b>Results:</b> The mean (&plusmn; SD) score of academic major satisfaction among nursing students was 25.47 &plusmn; 6.4. The EFA results revealed a single factor that accounted for 63% of the total variance. The CFA results indicated a good fit (&chi;²⁽⁶⁾ = 8.53, p = 0.202, CMIN/DF = 1.422, CFI = 0.99, NFI = 0.99, TLI = 0.99, RMSEA (90% CI) = 0.043 [ 0.00;0.1]). The P-AMSS demonstrated good internal consistency and reliability (&alpha;=0.907; &omega;=0.921).
