The Journal of Medical Education Development iis an open-access, non-profit journal and does not charge any APCs for submission, peer review, or publication. All articles are freely accessible immediately upon publication. After acceptance, all manuscripts receive comprehensive professional editorial and production services as part of the standard publication process. These services include advanced language editing and professional proofreading, rephrasing for clarity and originality, typesetting and improved formatting, plagiarism and AI content screening, and reference checking. These services ensure that manuscripts are clear, accurate, and readable, supporting effective communication of research findings to the international academic community.
The journal does not profit from any of these services; all costs are either covered by authors within Iran through direct payment to the service providers or, for authors outside Iran, by Zanjan University of Medical Sciences. Authors are always informed of the exact fees before any work begins, and the journal acts solely as an intermediary, coordinating services with qualified providers to maintain consistency and quality. Withdrawal after acceptance may result in charges only for work already completed, which will be communicated clearly to the author.
